Exploring advanced methods of protoyping and fabrication with constant reiterations of my design and heavy focus on communicating with technicians, getting specialist insights and  sourcing materials locally and internationally. 
 Lately, I’ve noticed when getting cozy to read in bed (a big part of my wind-down routine before sleep), I’ve found I can never get enough light to read my books comfortably. My eyes strain to read the words in the dimness, and it puts severe pressure and fatigue to my vision. I have a bedside lamp, but it only sets the ambient mood, it’s not bright or focused enough for reading. Thats when I thought- how can I design and manufacture a light blends seamlessly into the reading experience? One that I, and other avid night-time readers can turn to for comfort, clarity and ease.

Mezza is an artisinal reading light designed for quiet, reflective moments. Hand crafted from rich leather and brushed metal, the tactile analogue design meets timeless elegance. Mild steel and aluminium juxtaposes with the warmth of the sleeve, yet harmonious in form. It’s compact structure flexes and folds with the book, cradling the pages in soft, even light.
