Libraries across the Netherlands are stepping beyond their traditional role as repositories of knowledge, evolving into community spaces that champion creative engagement and cultural exchange. Ephemeral occupies a 3×3m fabric-enclosed space where motion-responsive projections react in real time to visitors' presence with no written instructions and no goal. Interaction emerges through curiosity alone, as visitors discover that their gestures shape the visuals around them, giving physical form to their mood and energy. The space amplifies what you bring into it, turning something as instinctive as the way you move into a moment of creative expression.
Ephemeral challenges the idea that creative engagement requires expertise or instruction, creating an entry point so accessible that simply being present, moving and pausing within the space alongside others becomes a form of expression in itself.
